Mike is a director, dramaturg, and theatre educator living in the Twin Cities. For Gnarly Bard, Mike has directed or co-directed multiple shows, and is excited to take on the Co-Artistic Director role! Originally from upstate New York, Mike moved to Minnesota in 2008. Outside of Gnarly Bard, Mike continues to make theatre in the Twin Cities, most recently with Broken Wing Productions and 1T Productions. As a researcher and scholar, Mike's work focuses on community-based theatre, theatre for social change, and theatre pedagogy. Mike has taught at the University of Minnesota, Gustavus Adolphus College, NC State University, and Miami University of Ohio. When not making theatre, Mike runs a community-based arts nonprofit in the Twin Cities suburbs.
